Microneedling With PRP in NYC. Your Own Platelets, as the Channels Open.

From $75060 minDowntime 1 to 2 days

Microneedling with PRP in NYC is what the internet calls the vampire facial. A small draw of your own blood is spun to concentrate the platelets, then applied across the face as fine needles open controlled micro channels, so the growth factors go exactly where the skin is rebuilding its own collagen. At Club 116 on Central Park South it takes 60 minutes, from $750.

What it is

What PRP Adds to Microneedling, in Plain English.

Microneedling with PRP combines two things. Fine needles create controlled micro channels so the skin rebuilds its own collagen. Platelet rich plasma (PRP), a concentrate of the platelets in your own blood, is applied as those channels open. Platelets carry growth factors that speed healing and support new collagen. At Club 116 in Manhattan it costs from $750 and takes 60 minutes.

The blood draw is about the size of a routine lab test. It is spun for around ten minutes while your skin is numbing. Once the needling starts, the plasma is applied across the face during and immediately after each pass, when absorption is highest. Nothing is added to your blood, which is why this is the booster for people who want the most from a course without an off the shelf product. Redness settles faster than with plain needling.

Who it is for

Acne scarring, dull or tired skin, fine lines, and anyone who wants a stronger result from a microneedling course using only what their own body makes. It suits every skin tone.

Why do it here

PRP is prepared in the room, on the day, from your own blood. A doctor signs off on anything applied to open channels, and a licensed clinician performs the treatment. The course is photographed under the same light at each visit. Nobody works on commission, so if PRF would serve you better for the extra $100, we say so.

What happens

Before, During and After.

Before
The consult

Your skin is assessed under proper light and photographed. We ask about blood thinners, recent isotretinoin and anything that rules out a platelet treatment. Numbing cream goes on for twenty to thirty minutes. The blood draw happens while it works. No consultation fee, and the exact price is confirmed in writing first.

During · 60 min
In the room

Your blood is spun to separate the platelet rich layer. Fine needles then pass over the face in controlled depths, and the PRP is applied as the channels open, pass by pass. It feels like fine sandpaper, warm and scratchy, not painful. The face is left with a thin layer of plasma to absorb.

After · 1 to 2 days
What to expect

Pink to red for a day, sometimes two, like a mild sunburn, then a few days of dryness. Most people find the redness fades faster than with plain needling. Makeup after twenty four hours. Nobody needs to know.

Results · three
When you see it

A glow within a week. Texture, tone and scarring improve over three months across a course of three, spaced four to six weeks apart, and the collagen keeps maturing after the last session.

Downtime and aftercare

One to two days of pinkness, occasionally three, and a dry, tight feel. Leave the plasma on for the first few hours and do not wash the face until the next morning. Sunscreen and a bland moisturizer after that, and nothing active (no retinol, acids or vitamin C) for five days. No makeup for the first day. No sweat, sauna or swimming for two days.

Not for you if

You are pregnant, have active acne, eczema or a cold sore in the area, keloid scarring, a bleeding or platelet disorder, or take a blood thinner that has not been discussed with the doctor. Not if you have used isotretinoin in the last six months. Boosters applied to the skin are not used in pregnancy.

Questions

Microneedling With PRP in NYC: Questions People Ask First.

How much does a vampire facial cost in NYC?

At Club 116 on Central Park South, microneedling with PRP is $750 a session, and $600 for members. That includes the blood draw, the spin and the needling. There is no consultation fee, and the exact figure is in writing before anything starts.

How many sessions of microneedling with PRP do I need, and how long does it last?

Three sessions, four to six weeks apart, is the usual course for scarring and texture. One session gives a glow; a course changes the skin. The collagen you build is yours, and most people maintain with a session every six to twelve months.

Is the vampire facial the same as microneedling with PRP?

Yes. Vampire facial is the marketing name. The medical version is microneedling with platelet rich plasma applied to the skin as the channels open. The PRP is not injected in this treatment. If you want PRP injected into specific areas, that is a separate treatment, PRP facial injections, also $750.

Does microneedling with PRP hurt?

Numbing cream takes most of it. The blood draw is a routine needle in the arm. The needling feels like fine sandpaper with a warm scratch, and the forehead and upper lip are the most sensitive areas.

Which booster should I choose: PRP, PRF, exosomes or Rejuran?

PRP is the natural booster with the longest track record and nothing added. PRF is PRP spun more gently so it releases growth factors over days rather than hours, and it is what we suggest for most people doing a course. Exosomes give the shortest recovery. Rejuran or PDRN suit thin, reactive or redness prone skin. Ariessence PDGF is for scarring that has not moved with anything else. The clinician recommends at the consult.

What is the downtime after a PRP facial?

A day or two of pink, then a few days of dryness. Redness tends to settle faster than with plain microneedling because the platelets speed healing. You can work the same afternoon and wear makeup after twenty four hours.
