FUE Transplant Before and After. What It Can Look Like.
One case, labeled the way the work is priced: the treatment, the count or the sessions, and how long after. This one is judged at twelve months, photographed in the same light and at the same distance, with no retouching.
A placeholder for layout, made to show how consented client photographs will appear. It shows no patient and no result. Real cases replace it as clients consent, photographed in the same light and at the same distance, with no retouching. Individual results vary.
Every caseWhat an FUE Hair Transplant Does, and How the Cost in NYC Is Set.
Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a hair transplant technique in which a physician removes individual follicular units, the natural groupings of one to four hairs, from the donor area with a fine punch and places them one at a time into the thinning or bald area. The grafts are your own, so they grow for life. At Club 116 in Manhattan it costs from $9 a graft, takes five to eight hours, and needs seven to ten days of downtime.
FUE is the step for what is gone. Pattern hair loss shrinks follicles at the front and crown under the influence of DHT, the hormone that miniaturizes them, while the hair at the back and sides is resistant and keeps growing. FUE borrows from that resistant supply. Because each graft is taken individually, there is no strip of skin removed and no linear scar, which is the difference from the older FUT method. Where the case suits it, no shave FUE takes grafts from within the length, so nobody sees a trimmed patch. The surgery is a day; the result takes a year.
Who it is for
Men and women whose hairline, temples or crown have gone past what prescriptions, PRP and laser can bring back, with a donor area that can support the ask and loss that is stable on medical treatment. The consult decides candidacy honestly, including when the answer is not yet.
Why do it here
Every transplant here follows the same order: test first, keep what is alive, replace what is gone. Bloodwork and scalp imaging come before any surgical date. The hairline is designed for the face you will have at fifty, not the one you had at twenty. A physician performs the extraction and placement. You are seen at one week and photographed at three, six and twelve months. The price is per graft and published, and nobody here is on commission.
Before, During and After.
The $350 hair consult comes first: scalp imaging, photographs and bloodwork. The doctor then sets a graft count, maps the donor area, draws the hairline with you and decides whether a no shave approach suits the case. Price, plan and consent are in writing before any date is fixed. Most people are asked to be on a stabilizing plan, usually a prescription and sometimes PRP, before surgery.
Under local anesthetic, with you awake and comfortable. The donor area is trimmed, or worked within the length for no shave cases. The physician extracts grafts one at a time with a fine punch, they are sorted and kept in solution, and then placed into tiny recipient sites at the angle and direction your native hair grows. Home the same evening.
Small crusts on the recipient area for about a week, and a trimmed donor area that fills in within weeks. Some swelling of the forehead in the first days is normal. Most people return to a desk in five to seven days and to training in two weeks.
Transplanted hair sheds by week three, which is expected. Regrowth starts from month three. Half the result is visible by six months, the full result at twelve. Transplanted follicles are permanent. The hair between them still needs the medical plan, which is why the transplant is the last step, not the only one.

What a hair transplant case usually costs
Hairline and temples, 1,500 to 2,200 grafts, $13,500 to $19,800. Crown, 1,000 to 1,800 grafts, $9,000 to $16,200. Both together, 2,500 to 3,500 grafts, $22,500 to $31,500. Members pay $7 a graft, which on a 2,000 graft case is $4,000 less. Typical ranges at $9 a graft; the graft count consult sets one figure in writing before you book.
Downtime and aftercare
Sleep raised for three nights. No touching the grafts for a week. Saline sprays and gentle washing as shown. No hats, sun, alcohol or hard training for two weeks. Prescriptions and PRP around surgery are written into the plan. We see you at one week and at three, six and twelve months with photographs.
Not for you if
Insufficient donor hair, unstable or diffuse loss that has not been treated medically, an uncontrolled medical condition, a bleeding disorder, or unrealistic expectations about density. Finasteride, where it is part of the stabilizing plan, is prescription only, discussed for side effects first, and not prescribed to women who are or may become pregnant. The doctor will decline surgery that would not hold up.

FUE Hair Transplant in NYC: Questions People Ask First.
How much does a hair transplant cost in NYC?
At Club 116 on Central Park South, FUE is $9 a graft, and $7 a graft for members. Most Manhattan clinics charge between $5 and $13 a graft. Because the graft count is what varies, you are given an exact count and an exact figure at the consult, in writing, before you commit to anything.
How long does an FUE hair transplant take, and is it one session?
Five to eight hours in one day for most cases, under local anesthetic. Larger cases are sometimes split across two sessions, which is decided at the consult. The result takes twelve months to arrive in full.
Will I have to shave my head for FUE?
For most male cases the donor area at the back is trimmed and grows back within weeks. If you would rather not, no shave FUE keeps your length by working within it. It is more demanding, so it suits smaller cases best, and the doctor tells you at the consult whether yours qualifies.
What is the recovery time after a hair transplant?
Seven to ten days of visible healing. Desk work in five to seven days, training in two weeks, hats once the grafts are secure. The transplanted hair sheds by week three and regrows from month three, so plan on being patient.
Is FUE permanent?
Transplanted follicles are taken from the DHT resistant zone and keep growing for life. The native hair around them is still subject to pattern loss, which is why a medical plan continues after surgery.
Do I need the consult before booking FUE?
Yes. A transplant into unstable loss or an untreated medical cause does not hold up. The hair consult is $350, it is credited against your plan, and it commits you to nothing. You can also start with the $95 online doctor review from anywhere in the country.
