Hairline, Temple and Crown Hair Transplant in NYC. The Classic Case, Planned as One.

From $9,0006 to 8 hoursDowntime 7 to 10 days

A hairline hair transplant rebuilds temples that have gone back, a hairline that has crept, or a thinning crown, using your own follicles placed one at a time by FUE. At Club 116 on Central Park South it is typically 1,000 to 3,000 grafts, in one session or two, from $9,000. A doctor confirms the loss is stable and the donor area can support it before any date is set.

What it is

What a Hairline and Crown Transplant Does, and How It Is Designed.

A hairline, temple and crown FUE is a single transplant plan for the three areas pattern hair loss takes first. Individual follicular units are moved from the back and sides of the head and placed at the angle native hair grows. At Club 116 in Manhattan it is typically 1,000 to 3,000 grafts, costs from $9,000, takes six to eight hours, and needs seven to ten days of downtime.

The order of work matters. The hairline is designed for the face you will have at fifty, not the one you had at twenty, because a hairline set too low or too straight looks wrong as the rest of the hair matures. The temples are rebuilt to frame it. The crown is filled last, and only if the donor area allows, since the crown is a large area that takes many grafts for a modest visual change. Every graft comes from the DHT resistant zone at the back, where DHT, the hormone that shrinks follicles in pattern hair loss, has no effect. This is the replace step of the method here: test first, keep what is alive with prescriptions, PRP and laser, then replace what is gone.

Who it is for

Men and women with an established recession or a thinning crown, stable on medical treatment, with a healthy donor area. Usually thirty and over, because loss before then is still moving and a transplant placed into it has to be redone. The consult decides honestly, including when the answer is not yet.

Why do it here

Bloodwork and scalp imaging come before any surgical date, so a treatable cause is never transplanted over. The hairline is drawn with you at the consult, and you see it before you agree to it. A physician performs the extraction and placement. Photographs at three, six and twelve months measure the result. The price is per graft and published, the exact count is in writing, and nobody here is on commission.

What happens

Before, During and After.

Before
The consult

The $350 hair consult first: scalp imaging, photographs and bloodwork. The doctor then sets a graft count, maps the donor area and draws the hairline with you. Whether the crown is included, and whether the case is one session or two, is decided here. Price, plan and consent are in writing before any date is fixed. Most people are on a stabilizing plan, usually a prescription and sometimes PRP, before surgery.

During · 6 to 8 hours
In the room

Under local anesthetic, awake and comfortable. The donor area is trimmed, or worked within the length for a no shave case. Grafts are extracted one at a time with a fine punch, sorted by hair count, and placed into recipient sites that follow the drawn hairline and the natural direction of growth. Single hair grafts go at the front edge so the hairline looks soft rather than drawn on. Home the same evening.

After · 7 to 10 days
What to expect

A week of small crusts along the hairline and crown, and a trimmed donor area that fills in within weeks. Some forehead swelling in the first days. Desk work in five to seven days, training in two weeks, and a hat once the grafts are secure.

Results · one or two
When you see it

Transplanted hair sheds by week three, as expected. Growth from month three, half the result at six months, and the full result at twelve. Any second session, for a crown left for later or extra density, is planned at the twelve month review. Transplanted follicles are permanent.

What a hair transplant case usually costs

Hairline and temples, 1,500 to 2,200 grafts, $13,500 to $19,800. Crown, 1,000 to 1,800 grafts, $9,000 to $16,200. Both together, 2,500 to 3,500 grafts, $22,500 to $31,500. Downtime and aftercare

Sleep raised for three nights. No touching the grafts for a week. Saline sprays and gentle washing as shown. No sun, alcohol or hard training for two weeks. Prescriptions and PRP around surgery are written into the plan. Photographs at three, six and twelve months.

Not for you if

Diffuse or unstable loss not yet treated medically, a weak donor area, an uncontrolled medical condition or a bleeding disorder. Finasteride, where it is part of the stabilizing plan, is prescription only, discussed for side effects first, and not prescribed to women who are or may become pregnant. The doctor will say no to a case that would not hold up.

Questions

Hairline Hair Transplant in NYC: Questions People Ask First.

How much does a hairline hair transplant cost in NYC?

At Club 116 on Central Park South, a hairline, temple and crown case starts from $9,000, and $7,200 for members. Pricing is $9 a graft, and most Manhattan clinics charge between $5 and $13 a graft. The exact count and figure are in writing at the consult before you commit to anything.

How many grafts do I need for a hairline or crown?

Typically 1,000 to 3,000 grafts across the hairline, temples and crown. The trichoscope reading and the donor map at the consult set the number, and the doctor tells you what that number will and will not achieve.

Is it one session or two?

Most hairline and temple cases are one session of six to eight hours. When the crown is included and the graft count is high, the work is sometimes split into two sessions, with the second planned at the twelve month review. That decision is made at the consult and priced in writing.

How long until a hairline transplant looks natural?

The crusts are gone by ten to fourteen days and nothing is obvious after that. The transplanted hair sheds by week three, regrows from month three, and reaches half its final density at six months and full at twelve.

Can a crown hair transplant be done on its own?

Yes, where the loss is stable and the donor area allows. The crown takes many grafts for a modest visual change, so the doctor will be honest about whether the count is worth it, or whether keeping what is alive with medication and PRP is the better use of your money for now.

Do I need the consult before booking?

Yes. A transplant into unstable loss or an untreated medical cause does not hold up. The hair consult is $350, it is credited against your plan, and it commits you to nothing. You can also start with the $95 online doctor review from anywhere in the country.
