Botox in NYC. Wrinkle Relaxers Placed Softer, Not Frozen.

From $14 a unit15 minNo downtime

Botox in NYC starts at $14 a unit at Club 116 on Central Park South. Botox and the alternatives are wrinkle relaxers, prescription products that quiet the muscles that fold the skin: frown lines, forehead, crow's feet. A physician assesses your face and decides the dose, and the dose is conservative by design. Fifteen minutes, no downtime, full effect at two weeks, lasting three to four months.

What it is

What Botox and Wrinkle Relaxers Do, and What a Doctor Decides.

A wrinkle relaxer is a prescription neuromodulator, a purified protein that temporarily stops a muscle from contracting fully. Botox is the best known brand; the alternatives work the same way. Placed in small amounts, it softens the lines made by frowning, raising the brows and squinting. At Club 116 in Manhattan it costs from $14 a unit, takes fifteen minutes, and lasts three to four months.

Every expression line is a muscle pulling on skin. Relax the muscle a little and the skin stops creasing as hard, so the line softens and, over repeated treatments, stops etching deeper. The product is measured in units, and the number of units is the dose. Too many and the face reads as frozen. Too few and nothing changes. That is why the dose here is decided by a physician looking at your face at rest and in movement, not by a price list or a package. You pay per unit, so you pay for what is used and nothing more.

Who it is for

Frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet that show at rest. A heavy brow. A clenched jaw that aches or widens the lower face. Neck bands, or a gummy smile. Adults who want to look rested without looking done. First timers are given less, not more, and the two week review is where anything gets adjusted.

Why do it here

A physician assesses and injects, and consent is taken in writing at every visit. Wrinkle relaxers are prescription products, so they are not done on a first visit; the consult comes first, and it is free. Doses are conservative by design, and the doctor will decline work that would read as work. The two week review is included in the price. Nobody here works on commission, so nobody is paid to sell you more units.

What happens

Before, During and After.

Before
The consult

A physician looks at your face at rest and in movement, asks what you want softened and what you want left alone, and photographs you under fixed lighting so the change can be measured. Your medical history and medicines are checked. The dose and the areas are written down, with the exact price, and consent is signed. Because these are prescription products, treatment is booked for a separate visit.

During · 15 min
In the room

The skin is cleaned and, where it helps, numbed with a cold pack. The product is placed with a very fine needle in a handful of small injections per area. Most people describe each one as a quick pinch. The whole visit fits inside a lunch break, and there is nothing to hide when you walk out.

After · no downtime
What to expect

Pinpoint marks that fade within the hour and, occasionally, a small bruise. No bandages, no swelling to speak of. For the rest of the day, stay upright, leave the area alone, and skip alcohol and hard exercise.

Results · every 3 to 4 months
When you see it

The muscle starts to soften at around three days. The full effect is at two weeks, which is when we see you again to check symmetry and adjust if anything needs it. It lasts three to four months, then movement returns gradually. Most people book every three to four months to hold the result.

Good to know

Downtime and aftercare

There is none in the usual sense. For the rest of the day do not lie flat, rub or massage the area, drink alcohol or train hard. Makeup can go on after a few hours. A bruise, if you get one, settles within a week. The two week review is included, and it is where we fine tune rather than on the day.

Not for you if

You are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or a cold sore near the area, have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis, have a known allergy to the product, or take a blood thinner that has not been discussed with the doctor. Some medicines interact with neuromodulators, so bring a list. If the doctor thinks a relaxer will not give you what you are asking for, you will be told so before you pay.

Members

Members pay $11 a unit, 20% off list, and the first signature facial is included when you join.

Individual results vary

Nothing on this page is a guarantee of an outcome or a substitute for the consultation. Suitability is confirmed by a physician before anything is booked, and consent is taken in writing.

Questions

Botox in NYC: Questions People Ask First.

How much does Botox cost per unit in NYC?

At Club 116 on Central Park South, wrinkle relaxers start at $14 a unit and members pay $11 a unit. Your total depends on the number of units the doctor uses, which is decided at the consult and quoted in writing before anything is injected. There is no consultation fee and no per area package, so you never pay for units that were not used.

How many units of Botox do I need?

The doctor sets the dose at the consult, after watching how your muscles move. Muscle strength, the areas treated and how soft you want the result all change the number, so we do not publish a fixed count per area. The rule here is to start conservatively and add at the two week review if you want more. That is easier than taking away.

How long does Botox last?

Three to four months. The muscle begins to soften around day three, the full effect is at two weeks, and movement returns gradually after month three. Most people rebook every three to four months. With regular treatment, the lines tend to soften at rest too, because the skin has stopped creasing as hard.

Does Botox hurt?

Not much. The needle is very fine and each injection feels like a quick pinch that lasts a second. A cold pack is used where it helps. Most people say the anticipation is worse than the treatment, and the whole visit is fifteen minutes.

Can Botox be reversed, and what happens if I stop?

It cannot be dissolved the way hyaluronic acid filler can, which is why the dose here is conservative and adjusted at two weeks rather than front loaded. If you stop, the muscle simply regains its full movement over three to four months and your face goes back to how it was. Nothing is lost by stopping.

Can I get Botox on my first visit at Club 116?

No. Wrinkle relaxers are prescription products, so a physician assesses you first, takes consent in writing and books the treatment for a separate visit. The consultation is free, and you can start with the $95 online doctor review from your phone if you prefer.
